Sunday Diary
Is a good way for new members to meet other people. A Diary Day is scheduled for a Sunday towards the middle of December when people can pair up and arrange to play social golf against other members, on Sundays, throughout the year. Some of our Ladies have now joined in either as pairs or with a Gent.
The Club Porfessional, Steve Roberts can tell you more and help you to find a playing partner if you need one.
SUGC 1st Team League Golf
The club enters the SUGC First team League format each year. This is represented, typically over 12 matches by 4 players in a scratch matchplay format. The team has seen some success over the past three years by gaining back to back promotions from Division 5 and finishing 3rd in their first year in Division 3. If you have a handicap of 6 or less and interested in playing then please contact the Team Captain Simon Hunter. We are always on the look out for new talent!
SUGC 2nd Team League Golf
In addition to the 1st Team we enter the 6-18 Handicap league format from May to September. Comprising of 12 matches, 8 players will represent the club in a foursome matchplay format. If you are interested in playing for the 2nd team, please contact the Team Captain. In their first season 2019, the team successfully secured promotion by winning Division 4.
