Ladies Section

Welcome to the Ladies Section where we offer plenty of opportunities to join in with our varied activities. Please refer to notice boards for details.

We have a very active ladies section which has been growing steadily over the past few years. We encourage all abilities and our Professional with his team hold a weekly Golf Academy for beginners and will gradually introduce to them all aspects of this wonderful game. 

Most of our Medal and Stableford competitions are played on a Wednesday, with occasional qualifying competitions on weekends. 

We also have various Foursomes and Matchplay Knock-out Trophies throughout the year. 

There are two Open Am-Am's each year, in July and August, both well attended with 35+ teams in each. 

We take part in the inter-club matches organised by the Yorkshire County Ladies Golf Association.

During the summer evenings the ladies play in the Sheffield Ladies evening league. This is played over 9 holes after 6pm on a weekday between April and August in teams of 5. Other clubs participating include Abbeydale, Hallamshire, Hallowes, Lees Hall and Sickleholme. The season is concluded with a Dinner and Prize presentation evening. 

As a club we hold various types of mixed competitions throughout the year. 

There is the opportunity to join some of the ladies in an informal weekly bridge session.
